Our youngest turned two on Thursday! We celebrated her birthday on Saturday and I finished her birthday present Monday. Fortunately just-turned-two-year-olds don't know or care about the "proper order" of things :). I made the Tag Along Doll from Hilary Lang's Wee Wonderfuls book (fabulous book, highly recommend). I went with a doll with felt hair. I haven't mastered yarn hair, yet. The original design is supposed to be accompanied by an apron with a pocket for the doll, super cute idea, but I was going for the quick route. The only modifications I made was adding the little cheek circles, the stitching detail in the hair, and the little bow. Other than that I just followed the pattern and directions bypassing the hand sewing whenever possible if I could manage by machine. Haha, hand sewing is not my favorite. Audrey loves dolls "babies" so it was very fun making her one. I loved dolls myself as a kiddo so it's been fun to share that with her.
Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Thanks love! And thanks for stopping by the ol' blog :).
Sooo lovely!
Adorable! (The baby AND your girl.) Wow, I can't believe I've been reading your blog for over two years; I'm pretty sure that I started shortly before your youngest was born.
Christina—Thank you! And thanks for sticking around that long! It's so fun for me to look back to the beginning, such a fun documentation of my sewing adventure and my beautiful little ones :).
Amazing work as always, Katie! Happy birthday to Audrey! :)

Oh, I just love this. Great job!
Oi..... perfect! The stitch detail in the hair is so cool. Much better than wool hair. LOVE....... again!
